This weekend has been beautiful. It is in the high 70’s/upper 80’s and everyone is out and about. Friday night Matt and I took a train into Maidenhead (a nearby city) for dinner, but decided to head back to Windsor for late night drinks.
Saturday we took our time getting up and drove into the city. We spent a several hours in Richmond (borders Wimbledon and Kew Gardens). It seemed like every church was having a bake sale or some type of event, and the streets were packed. We made our way down to the river and watched everyone laying out and having lunch. We headed back to Windsor for an Indian dinner which didn’t sit right with either of us, so we called it a pretty early night.
Today, however, we had a perfect day! We woke up and walked to the castle to grab a coffee and people watch. We then stopped for groceries and were home by noon. We quickly packed a picnic lunch and some books and headed to Virginia Waters in Old Windsor. It was beautiful!! We laid out a blanket and spent the afternoon reading, napping and catching some sun. I was surprised to see many people swimming and was very jealous that we didn’t bring swimsuits, but now I know… Next weekend is Paris, and I can’t wait!!!
