Matt and I both woke up with major blisters on our feet this morning from all the walking we did yesterday. We had to suck it up and walk through the pain because we hadn’t even had a chance to see the Colosseum or the Roman Forum yet! We both agreed, even though it hurt to walk, this was the most magical morning…
I have tried to keep the pictures to a minimum, but it really is hard with how much we were able to see. Ben, I really think you would enjoy them all: http://good-times.webshots.com/photo/2406377590095061985swWKeG?vhost=good-times...
As we exited the forum, we were excited to see that there was a festival going on where Matt and I got to sample all the local cheeses, wines and bread! We watched different bands march and even a tug of war between cities :) It was amazing!
After another long day of walking with blistered feet, Matt and I decided to end our trip with a nap on the lawn of the Villa Borgese and a short bicycle ride around the park.
Rome was more than we could have expected, but it was time to head back home.
