What an exciting day today has already been! We moved from Heathrow to Windsor!! I could take plenty of pictures of our flat, but it looks pretty much identical to the link below, so I won’t. The view on the other hand is nothing a picture could capture (although I have tried below). The flat is only about 800 square feet, but none of that includes closets. Which brings me to the differences of housing in England: 1. The refrigerator doors match the cabinetry. You only see this in very high end custom homes in the U.S. but they are everywhere here. 2. The washer and the dryer are one machine in the same. I have yet to try it, but it perplexes me to no end. 3. They don’t have shower curtains. There is a half wall of glass and then nothing. 4. Back to the washing machine, it is in the kitchen… They don’t have utility rooms. 5. No closets. They have movable closets like you would see at Ikea in each room. Ok, I’m sure not every home in England is this way, but the two we have now been in are.
Now, back to the view… look closely over the tree line to the left of the church, it is the top of the castle!! I get to wake up every morning to the castle! You can see it better in person than the picture shows. I have been told by several taxi drivers that the Queen spends most of her time (75%) here, and you know when she is in because the flag will be flying, which it is today! Every Wednesday at ¼ past 10 they do the changing of the guard, so hopefully I will have pictures of that for you tomorrow. Till then J

Debbs...Matt...Looks like a fun place to be. Have you all went to any cool pubs yet? My postings will start to pick up as I now know how to log in and do this. When are you guys going to Geneva? Post some of those pics. I wish I could go skiing there with you guys. It's getting warmer here. Are you jealous? It looks pretty cold. Anywho...keep posting good pics. Have fun and drink one for me.
